The Australia ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) is a digital travel authorization that allows short-term visits to Australia for tourism or business purposes. It is electronically linked to your passport, eliminating the need for a physical visa label or stamp. This visa is valid for 12 months, and you can enter Australia multiple times, staying up to 90 days per visit.
Who Can Apply?
Only citizens of eligible countries can apply for an ETA. Some of the commonly eligible nationalities include:

Note: Citizens of countries like Bangladesh, India, or Pakistan are not eligible for ETA and should explore other visa categories such as the Visitor Visa (Subclass 600).

You can’t apply through a website or in person—it must be done through the official mobile app.
You will need:A valid passport from an eligible country A clear passport-style photo A credit/debit card for payment
FeesGovernment Fee: AUD $20 (This is a service charge for using the app—there is no visa application fee.)
Processing Time
Most applications are processed within minutes.
However, some may take 1–3 business days if additional checks are required.
In rare cases, you might be asked to submit Form 1554 or additional documentation related to character or health.
Conditions
You cannot work in Australia with an ETA.
You must not stay longer than 90 days per visit.
You must be outside Australia at the time of applying and when the ETA is granted.
