Day 1Arrival in Beijing

Beijing, one of the world’s most enigmatic cities, is where your adventure will start. When you arrive at Beijing International Airport, a TCT tour guide will meet you and take you to your hotel. After checking in, relax and get a good night’s sleep to help you recover from jet lag. You will spend the following few days exploring this historic city, which serves as China’s political and cultural center. Prepare yourself for that.

Day 2Beijing

Nanluoguxiang Alley, Tiananmen Square, Jingshan Park, Forbidden City, and Back Lakes

[09:00–09:30] Our guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and begin your tour of Beijing’s historic district.

[09:30–12:30] You will arrive in the world’s largest public square, Tian’anmen Square. The largest and most complete old imperial palace in the world, Forbidden City, is today’s highlight. Take a stroll through the square to see it. Trek to Jingshan Park, which offers a pleasant overview of the Forbidden City from the summit of Coal Hill.

[12:30–14:00] To sample real Chinese cuisine, stop at a nearby Chinese restaurant for lunch on the way.

[14:00–16:30] Travel to Back Lakes (Houhai), a fantastic location to learn about Beijing City’s history and unending allure. Enter Nanluoguxiang Alley, one of Beijing’s most well-known Hutong neighborhoods with a blend of fashion, history, and souvenir shops.

[16:30–17:30] After today’s leisure excursion, return to your hotel. You are welcome to ask your guide for recommendations on things to do in the evening, such where to have Peking duck supper and see a night entertainment.

Day 3Beijing

Olympic Park, Mutianyu Great Wall, Bird Nest, and Water Cube exteriors

[08:00–08:30] Our guide will greet you in the hotel lobby and begin your exploration of the Great Wall.

[08:30–12:30] Travel to the Mutianyu Great Wall, a famous destination for tourists from other countries. When you get there, you may either take a cable car up and explore the Great Wall or go on a hike.

[12:30–13:30] Savor lunch at a little Chinese eatery close to The Great Wall.

Drive back to Beijing city between 13:30 and 16:30, during which time you can nap in the car. When you get to the downtown area, take an orientation stroll around Olympic Park and stop by the magnificent Bird Nest and Water Cube, which were constructed for the Beijing Olympic Games.

[16:30–17:30] Following today’s excursion, return to the hotel. We strongly advise you to enjoy yourself at Sanlitun Bar Street in the evening or have a traditional Chinese foot massage.

Day 4Beijing and Xi'an

Somerset Xindicheng Xi’an is the suggested hotel.

[09:30–10:00] Before departing Beijing, you will be greeted in the hotel lobby and given a half-day leisure excursion.

[10:00–11:30] See the Temple of Heaven, China’s biggest temple for offering sacrifices to heaven and a masterpiece of antiquity. Additionally, you could see a large number of energetic locals working out on the square. Next, enter the neighboring pristine Hutong and spend some time acting like a true Beijinger.

[11:30–12:30] A la carte lunch at a well-known local eatery to savor real Chinese cuisine.

After lunch, head to the train station for the five-hour ride to Xi’an.

Day 5Xi'an

Meals: breakfast and lunch; Terracotta Warriors; Bell Tower; Gao’s Courtyard; Muslim Quarter

[09:00–09:30] The tour of the ancient city will begin after you are greeted at the hotel foyer.

[09:30–12:30] Explore one of the most significant archeological discoveries in the world by driving to Terracotta Warriors, where soldiers, horses, and chariots are arranged in combat formation. For your convenience, a shuttle bus will be set up. After that, you will have the opportunity to tour a pottery figurine factory and learn how to produce one.

[12:30–14:00] There will be a Chinese meal set up close to Terracotta Warriors’ picturesque location.

[14:00–17:00] Visit the Bell Tower in the afternoon. It is the best-preserved bell tower in China and the biggest in both size and shape. After that, stop by Gao’s Courtyard, a great place to see historic homes and learn about the shadow puppetry and paper-cutting traditions of the area. Walk around Muslim Quarter and enjoy your shopping experience. You can also try the different local foods.

[17:00–17:30] Return to the lodging. We strongly advise you to watch the Tang Dynasty Show with Dinner tonight at your own expense.

Day 6Xi'an and Guilin

Meals: breakfast and lunch; Ancient City Wall; Wild Goose Pagoda and North Square; Hanyang Tomb; Flight to Guilin

[09:30–10:00] There will be plenty time for you to check out and pack. After being greeted in the hotel lobby, spend a day taking leisurely tours of Xian before departing for Guilin.

[10:00–12:30] See the Ancient City Wall, one of the best-preserved and oldest city walls in China. To get about, you could decide to ride a bicycle on the wall (***).Riding a bicycle is not included in our price ***). Go to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda after that. It is Xian’s iconic structure and a representation of the old Chinese capital.

[12:30–16:30] Drive to Xi’an airport after lunch, stopping along the way to see China’s largest museum, the Hanyang Mausoleum, which has the most floor area. Take a plane to Guilin. At the airport, your Guilin tour guide will greet you and assist with your hotel transfer.

Day 7Guilin

Breakfast and lunch are served in Longji Rice Terraces, Minority Village.
The Jolie Vue Boutique Hotel or a comparable establishment is suggested.

[08:30–09:00] You will begin exploring this lovely city after being greeted in the hotel lobby.

[09:00–12:30] It will take roughly two hours to get to the Longji Terraces Scenic Area gate once you leave for Longsheng and travel up and down the hilly route. After a time of walking, we were able to visit the breathtaking Longji Terraces. The courageous and astute locals created and constructed the paddies into the hillsides that surrounded their settlements over a period of more than 700 years. The Yao and Zhuang farmers continue to cultivate high-quality rice in the region despite its lengthy history. The hillsides are included into the rice terraces.

[12:30–13:30] The minority village’s local restaurant will host lunch. You might have the opportunity to sample regional cuisine, such as bamboo rice.

[13:30–15:30] During your spare time, you can visit the minority communities and stroll over the rice terraces to capture some stunning photos. Locals laboring in the fields, kids playing in the village, women weaving national costumes, needlework beneath the roof, and more will all be visible.

[15:30–17:30] Return to your hotel by transfer. We strongly advise you to sail on four lakes during the Night Cruise, which will be lit up at night.

Day 8Guilin and Yangshuo

[09:30–15:30] Savor the Li River A buffet lunch is included in the cruise tour. A deluxe cruise will be planned with respectable amenities and excellent service. Enjoy the landscape straight out of a fairy tale as you go down the winding river to Yangshuo. You can sit and take in the lovely view outside the window or walk out on the sundeck. After getting off, drive a sightseeing car to the parking lot or stroll down West Street.

[15:30–17:30] In the late afternoon, return by car to Guilin’s downtown for the night. While driving, you may take a nap in the car.

Day 9Guilin and Shanghai

Fly to Shanghai, Elephant Hill, and Reed Flute Cave

[09:30–12:30] Visit Reed Flute Cave, a well-known beautiful location that offers a magical fairyland of stalactites and stalagmites in amazing hues and forms. After that, we will return by car to the city center, where the Jolie Vue Boutique Hotel is situated. From the terrace restaurant on the hotel’s seventh story, we will have a comfortable cup of coffee while taking in the unique view of Elephant Trunk Hill. Guilin City’s emblem is the Elephant Trunk Hill. The hill resembles a massive elephant stretching its trunk and sipping Li River water.

It takes roughly an hour to drive to the airport in Guilin. Take an afternoon flight to Shanghai. At the airport, your Shanghai tour guide will meet you and assist with your hotel transfer.

Day 10Shanghai

[09:30–12:30] Enter the Shikumen, a historical alleyway with historic houses that blends traditional Chinese and Western cultures and is still inhabited by locals. Take a stroll along the Bund, a late 19th-century hub for international trade. Next, proceed to Shanghai’s downtown Yuyuan Garden, a classic Chinese garden.

[13:30–16:30] Go to the Jade Buddha Temple in the afternoon. After that, travel to the new Lujiazui CBD neighborhood and relax on the Riverside Promenade. Take a quick pause and get a cup of coffee. Finally, take a look at Shanghai Tower, the highest structure in Shanghai and the city’s skyline. Savor the ride to the top of Shanghai and the expansive perspective of the city.

[16:30–17:30] Return to the lodging. One of the most well-liked evening performances in Shanghai is the ERA Acrobatic Show, which we strongly advise you to see.

Day 11Departure from Shanghai
