This exclusive tour combines the elegance of a Dahabiya yacht cruise along the Nile with in-depth explorations of ancient Egyptian history, including visits to royal mummies and iconic archaeological sites.
Arrive at Cairo International Airport, where a representative will greet you and assist with your visa (which is included for most nationalities).
Travel to your luxury hotel for an overnight stay.
Breakfast. Begin your tour by visiting the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, Egypt’s sole museum that provides a comprehensive overview of Egypt’s various historical periods. It houses around 50,000 artifacts spanning Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times to the current day.
The Royal Mummies Hall of the Egyptian Civilization Museum is a must-see. It includes a distinct part where royal mummies discovered in various tombs are preserved. The room is climate-controlled, and the mummies appear to be in good condition.
Breakfast. Our guide will pick you up at your hotel.
Visit the Step Pyramids of Zoser, the world’s oldest monumental stone building. It was built for King Djoser during the Third Dynasty (about 2630 BC). After that, they moved to Memphis, which was created by King Menes and served as the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom. Memphis was regarded as a hub of governance and culture for nearly 3000 years and was Egypt’s first city, as evidenced by the statue of Ramses II. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Optional: Evening tour to have dinner on board a Nile boat for two hours, including viewing Egyptian folk shows.
Breakfast. Transfer to the domestic airport. Departure by plane to Luxor. Arrival and transfer to visit Luxor Museum. This wonderful museum has a well-chosen and brilliantly displayed and explained collection of antiquities dating from the end of the Old Kingdom right through to the Mamluk period, mostly gathered from the Theban temples and necropolis. Then move to visit the Temple of Karnak & the Temple of Luxor. Excursion to the Luxor Temple to see its courtyard and the granite statues of Ramses the Great. Proceed to Karnak.
Breakfast. Visit the West Bank – the Valley of the Kings, and see the tombs of numerous dynasties. King Tut’s tomb, which you will explore from within. Tutankhamun reigned Egypt for around ten years, from 1336 to 1327 BCE. In November 1922, Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon uncovered Tutankhamun’s nearly undamaged tomb in the Valley of the Kings. The king’s mummified remains was discovered surrounded by valuable grave goods in his golden casket after his burial chamber was officially opened on February 17, 1923, in the presence of Egyptologists and government authorities.
Visit Esna Temple in the morning, just after breakfast. The majority of today will be spent cruising on the Nile, and as evening approaches, your Dahabiya will anchor near Hegaz Village for the night.
After breakfast, your Dahabiya will sail to Edfu where you will be taken to see the Temple of Edfu. This is the best-preserved ancient cult temple ever discovered in Egypt. After your tour, you will sail towards Bassawa Island where you will spend another relaxing night on the water.
Enjoy breakfast on the luxury Dahabiya Nile cruise, followed by a visit to Gebel El-Silsila. You will next sail to Kom Ombo for another tour, this time to visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Kom Ombo. This temple was dedicated to two gods, Horus and Sobek. Horus, the god of the rising sun, is noted for his falcon-headed appearance. Sobek is also known as the Crocodile God. Spend another lovely night aboard your Dahabya on the Nile, this time near the settlement of Fares.
Spend another relaxing day taking in the sights and sounds of the Nile River. On arrival in Aswan you will visit the Aswan High Dam, the Temple of Philae and the Unfinished Obelisk. This night of your cruise will be spent on the water at Aswan.
Visit Nubian community on the west bank of the Nile River. Along the voyage, take in the breathtaking views of Soheil Island and the Aswan Dam using your camera. Visit a nearby village with your guide and meet a traditional Nubian family. Learn about their lifestyle and culture, as well as the Nubian traditions that have been practiced for thousands of years.
Breakfast on board. Disembarkation. (Optional) Abu Simbel excursion. Departure to visit the Temple of Abu Simbel, a huge temple erected by Ramses II (XIXth Dynasty) and recently preserved from Nile River inundation among the wonders of ancient Egyptian buildings.
The temples were constructed from a sandstone rock cliff, with representations of the deities to whom each was dedicated etched on the massive façade. Nearby, also conserved, is the tiny Temple of the King’s Wife Nefertari, devoted to the goddess Hathor. Return to Aswan.
Breakfast at the hotel. Our representative will transfer you to the airport and assist you at the airport through final departure formalities.

Well worth the investment. The high point of our journey to Egypt was this. Unlike other cruise ships, the Dahabiya has no engines in the back, so you may sail smoothly without any exhaust coming from the back. The interior of the yacht was well furnished and stunning.
