Today is going to be an eventful day. Your guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby early in the morning. Today, we will travel to Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the most well-known parts of the Chinese Great Wall, which is a must-see location in Beijing. The drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall from Beijing’s city takes roughly two hours. The Mutianyu Great Wall is older than the Badaling portion, having been constructed during the Northern Qi in the middle of the sixth century. (The Mutianyu Great Wall has a round-trip cable car.)
There is a nice restaurant at the base of Mutianyu that serves a la carte lunches. Return to Beijing’s downtown by car. We will stop for pictures outside the Bird Nest and Water Cube, two well-known structures built for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, when we get to Beijing. The tour concludes with a drop-off at your lodging. You could ask for recommendations regarding the Peking Roast Duck Restaurant if you want to enjoy a local speciality tonight.
