When you arrive in Chengdu, your trip’s destination, you will be received at the airport and transported to the hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the day enjoying your own spare time.
Chengdu Research Base for Giant Panda Breeding, Wuhou Temple, Jinli Ancient Street.

Pick up from your hotel early in the morning and transfer to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, which is around 10 kilometers from Chengdu’s city. This wonderfully landscaped park is home to approximately 80 giant pandas and other endangered creatures including as red pandas, black-necked cranes, and white cranes. Walking along the wonderfully planned walkways, you can get a good view of the enormous pandas’ open enclosures.
The greatest time to visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is in the morning, when the pandas are at their most active. Depart from the hotel early in the morning and arrive at the center around 9:00 a.m., and you may be able to view the pandas feeding about 9:30 a.m. After the feeding, you can visit the Panda Museum and watch a 20-minute documentary at Panda Theatre to learn about giant panda research and breeding. Then, wander along the walkways to see pandas or other uncommon creatures. You could also select to send a postcard or other panda keepsake from the Panda Post to yourself, your family, or friends.
Enjoy a Chinese meal with classic hotpot at a local restaurant. We will visit Wuhou Temple, the site’s largest museum from the Three Kingdoms Period and a peaceful oasis in the city. Then wander around Jinli Ancient Street, which is adjacent to Wuhou Temple.
A traditional opera show is available as an optional activity at night (show time: 20:00-21:30). Sichuan Opera is distinguished by its unique solos, sophisticated performances, percussion instruments, and skilled comedians. This presentation showcases a variety of remarkable skills, including the Facing Changing Show, which has been popular internationally for decades, and the Hands Shadow Show, which is performed entirely by hands rather than actors. Drop off at your accommodation in Chengdu’s downtown district.
Sichuan Cuisine Museum at Chengdu People’s Park.

After a leisure breakfast at your hotel, we will begin today’s tour with a hotel pickup. This morning, we’ll be going to the Sichuan Cuisine Museum. At the Museum, you will not only learn about the history of Sichuan cuisine, but also have the opportunity to observe the entire cooking process and practice cooking Sichuan food.
You will have a leisurely afternoon in Chengdu’s downtown. We will take you to Chengdu People’s Park, where you will observe many locals dancing, exercising, playing cards, Mahjong, ear-picking, and looking for a spouse, among other activities. They enjoy their spare time in the park. If you are interested, you might try to participate in them.
We’ll sit in a tea establishment and have a cup of tea to get a sense of the locals’ leisure activities.
After that, we’ll tour you around the famous Kuan Zhai Alley, which is made up of various ancient Ming and Qing Dynasty streets. We will make a stop at a Chinese-style Starbucks, where you can have a cup of coffee and enjoy the relaxing afternoon.
Drive to Leshan, Leshan Giant Buddha, then Emei.

After breakfast, drive 1.5 hours to Mt. Leshan, which features the world’s highest stone Buddha statue. Simply take a 30-minute boat to get a perspective of this mountain and the Leshan Giant Buddha. After that, continue driving for one hour to the Mt. Emei area. After that, head back to your hotel and have some rest.

We plan a sail to see Lesha Giant Buddha. While you can choose to ascend Mt. Leshan (1- 2 hours trekking), we do not encourage it because it is tiring and does not provide an overview of the Buddha.
Chengdu downtown to Mt. Leshan: 150 kilometers, 1.5 hours driving.
Mt. Leshan – Mt. Emei area: 41 kilometers, one hour drive.
Mt. Emei: Drive to Chengdu

Today you will enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Mt. Emei, which will include a cable car ride to the Golden Summit. After a stroll on the mountain, descend and drive back to Chengdu (165 kilometers). Relax in a Chengdu hotel or enjoy some free time.
