Day 1Arrival in Beijing

Reach Beijing, China’s capital. When your flight lands in Beijing, a TCT tour guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation. Free for the remainder of the day after check-in.

Day 2Beijing

[09:00–09:30] After meeting you in the hotel lobby, our guide will begin your tour of Beijing’s historic district.

[09:30–12:30] You will arrive to the world’s largest public square, Tian’anmen Square, first. The largest and most comprehensive old imperial palace in the world, Forbidden City, is today’s centerpiece. Stroll through the square to see it. Trek to Jingshan Park, which offers a pleasant overview of the Forbidden City from the summit of Coal Hill.

[12:30–14:00] Lunch at Shi Yuan Restaurant, which serves regional Chinese cuisine and is well-known for its diced chicken with walnuts in soy sauce, braised eggplant, and vegetable ball.

[14:00–16:30] Visit the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors prayed for harvest. It is currently the biggest building in China used for heavenly sacrifices. Panjiayuan Antique Market shopping time.

[16:30–17:30] On the way back to the hotel, you can ask your guide for recommendations and make plans for the Peking duck supper or the night show.

Day 3Beijing

[08:30–12:30] Travel to the stretch of the Mutianyu Great Wall that is more well-liked by foreign tourists. When you get there, you may either take a cable car up and explore the Great Wall or go on a hike.

[12:30–13:30] Lunch at Xiaolongpu Restaurant, which is well-known for its vegetable dishes such sweet corn cake, fried veggies, and dry-fried beans

Drive back to Beijing city between 13:30 and 16:30, during which time you can nap in the car. Explore the stunning Bird Nest and Water Cube, which were constructed for the Beijing Olympic Games.

Day 4Beijing and Shanghai

[09:30–10:00] There will be plenty time for you to check out and pack. After meeting you in the hotel lobby, our guide will take you on a half-day leisure tour of Beijing.

[10:00–11:30] Take a leisurely rickshaw tour in the Drum Tower neighborhood to see the local way of life in Beijing.

[11:30–14:30] Travel to Summer Palace, China’s largest and best-preserved royal park. Included is a boat cruise on Kunming Lake. Lunch will be served at Xiangyangtun, a local eatery with an opera stage.

Be taken to the train station for a 5.5-hour bullet train ride to Shanghai after lunch. When you arrive at the train station, your Shanghai tour guide will greet you and assist with your hotel transportation.

Day 5Shanghai

[09:00-19:30] After meeting you in the hotel lobby, our guide will begin your tour of the contemporary Chinese metropolis.

[09:30–12:30] Visit the Jade Buddha Temple, which is well-known for the 1,000 kg seated Buddha covered in jewels.Next, stroll down Riverside Promenade Bingjiang Da Dao to see the outside of Oriental Pearl TV Tower.

[12:30–13:30] Lunchtime for steamed buns and dim sum, two local specialties

[13:30–16:30] Shop in Shanghai Old strip and Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s oldest commercial strip, and visit Yuyuan park, a traditional Chinese park located in the city’s downtown. You might find some unique items there. Following that, take a leisurely stroll around the Bund, which is well-known for its collection of structures dubbed “a Gallery of world architecture.”

[16:30–17:30] While traveling back to the hotel, you can schedule an acrobatic show, particularly the ERA show, which is one of Shanghai’s most well-liked nighttime events.

Day 6Leave Shanghai
