Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, a stunning example of French neo-Romanesque architecture from the 19th century. Following that, take a tour of the Central Post Office, which was created by Gustave Eiffel and boasts an exquisite interior with maps, arched windows, and intricate designs. Take a tour of the Reunification Palace, the former presidential residence and a reminder of South Vietnam’s tumultuous past.
After breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide will come get you at 8:00 am to start your journey to My Tho, the provincial capital of Tien Giang. Located on the Mekong River, approximately 75 kilometers southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, this picturesque city is renowned for its rice fields and lush orchards, which supply the country’s grain..One or two of the islands in My Tho that are famous for producing traditional handicrafts, such as coconut candy and bee farms, will be open for you to visit. Your itinerary will also include a visit to Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in the Mekong Delta. To reach the pagoda, you will take a boat ride down the Mekong River, where you can admire the river and its lovely surroundings. The Vinh Trang Pagoda is surrounded by beautiful gardens and features elaborate architecture and beautiful sculptures.
You will be picked up by our minivan/bus between 8:30 and 9:00 am to begin your journey to Halong City after breakfast at your hotel. During the 3.5-hour drive, you will have the opportunity to witness the simple rural and rice paddy life. As soon as you arrive at the port, you will board your authentic Chinese Junk and begin your amazing voyage through the magnificent Halong Bay, which is recognized as a World Heritage Site. During lunch on board, a selection of the freshest seafood will be served.
Get up early to enjoy a breathtaking sunrise and breathe in the clean ocean air. Savor the onboard breakfast as we slowly navigate through thousands of stunning and seemingly endless islands. This is a great opportunity to capture some breathtaking landscape photos. We will also pause to observe a floating fishing community and hear legendary stories about the fishermen’s daily lives.
