Day By Day Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Istanbul

Arrival: Make your way to your hotel from Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) or Istanbul Airport (IST).

Evening: Free time to tour Galata or Sultanahmet. Savor a classic meal of Turkish cuisine.

Galata is one of Istanbul’s most atmospheric and historic neighborhoods, characterized by its winding cobblestone streets, vibrant art scene, and iconic Genoese architecture.

Features a 360-degree observation deck with sweeping views of the Bosphorus, the Golden Horn, and the historic peninsula.

  • Originally built in 1348 as part of the expansion of the Genoese colony in Constantinople.

  • The surrounding square is a popular gathering spot filled with cafes and street performers.

Galata Bridge connects the modern district of Beyoğlu with the historic Old City of Eminönü. ü.

  • Famous for the rows of local fishermen who line the upper deck daily.

  • The lower level is packed with seafood restaurants and cafes offering views of the water.

  • A perfect spot to watch the sunset over the mosques of the Old City.

Day 2Treasures of the Old City

Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque in the morning. See the Egyptian Obelisk by strolling across the hippodrome.

Afternoon: Take in some world-class window shopping at the Grand Bazaar after touring the lavish Topkapi Palace (as well as the harem).

Evening: Take a Turkish bath (hamam) if you want to get over your jet lag.

Day 3Bosphorus & Flight to Cappadocia

To see the city’s skyline, palaces, and fortifications from the river, take a Bosphorus Cruise after visiting the Spice Market in the morning.

In the afternoon, make your way to the airport in preparation for your journey to Cappadocia (ASR or NAV).

Spend the night at a classic cave hotel.

Day 4Cappadocia’s Fairy Chimneys

Sunrise: Hot Air Balloon Flight is optional but strongly advised.

During the day, visit Pasabag (Monks Valley), the Göreme Open Air Museum (UNESCO frescoes), and the Devrent Valley’s animal-shaped rocks.

In the afternoon, go to Avanos to watch a pottery-making demonstration with clay from the Red River.

Day 5Underground Cities

In the morning, descend into Ozkonak Underground City or Kaymaklı.

After hiking through Rose Valley or Pigeon Valley in the afternoon, take in the expansive vista of Uchisar Castle.

Flight to Izmir (ADB) in the evening, followed by a one-hour transport to your accommodation in Selçuk or Kuşadası.

Day 6Ancient Ephesus

Morning: Explore Ephesus all day. Place yourself in front of the Temple of Hadrian, the Great Theater, and the Library of Celsus.

In the afternoon, take in the remnants of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the House of the Virgin Mary.

Evening: Dinner in Kuşadası by the Aegean Sea.

Day 7Pamukkale’s Cotton Castle

Morning: Travel to Pamukkale by car (about three hours).

In the afternoon, see the ruins of the ancient spa city of Hierapolis and stroll along the beautiful Travertine Terraces. Among Roman columns, swim in Cleopatra’s antique pool.

Evening: Return to Istanbul via plane from Denizli (DNZ). Proceed to your lodging.

Day 8Departure from Istanbul

  • Morning: Final free time for souvenir shopping at the Spice Bazaar or a walk down Istiklal Avenue.

  • Transfer: Private transfer to the airport for your flight home.
