This seven-day tour takes you on a riveting journey across Egypt’s rich history, with a focus on the dynamic cities of Cairo and Alexandria. The schedule includes excursions to prominent sights, cultural events, and opportunity to learn about the ancient history of these two amazing towns.
Our representative will meet you at Cairo International Airport and take you to your hotel. Enjoy the local food or perhaps explore some of the neighboring sights during your free evening.
Enjoy breakfast. Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities first thing in the morning. The largest and most valuable collection of Egyptian art in the world, spanning 5000 years, is on display. Among the more than 250,000 authentic objects on display is an exhibit devoted to Tutankhamen’s treasure, gold, and jewelry collection, which was kept inside his tomb for more than 3,500 years until it was uncovered during the 1920s tomb excavation.
See Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerions, the Great Pyramids. The largest thing ever constructed is Cheops. After that, you can take a free camel ride and get a close-up look at Sphinx, a massive burial complex guarded by the fabled lion body with King Chephren’s face on it.
To begin your tour of Alexandria, our tour guide will come to you at your hotel. With eight million books, the Library of Alexandria is the largest library in the world and a good place to start the journey. See its free museums and open court.
Note: Every public holiday and Friday are closure days for the Alexandria Library. You will need to buy an additional ticket in order to enter the reading area.Next, go to the Lighthouse Site, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, where the Qaitbey fortress currently stands.

Overnight in Alexandria
Hotel breakfast. Return to Cairo. Arrive and proceed to see the oldest significant stone construction in the world, the Step Pyramids of Zoser. It was constructed for King Djoser during the 3rd Dynasty (c. 2630 BC).
Following that, the statue of Ramses II was moved to Memphis, which was established by King Menes and served as the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom. For more than three millennia, Memphis was regarded as a hub of culture and governance. You will see the Red and Bent Pyramids at Dahshur on your journey south.
Enjoy breakfast. Old Cairo Tour, Mohamed Aly Mosque, and Castle of Salah El Dien – Evening excursion to the Pyramids region to see the Sound & Light show.
Spend the night in Cairo.
