Tour of the City Start your adventure in Kampong Glam, where tradition and modernity coexist. This district was designated for the Malay, Arab, and Bugis communities during Singapore’s colonial era.

Drive through the Civic District to find out more about the city, stopping at the Padang, the Singapore Cricket Club, the old Parliament House, and the National Gallery Singapore. City Hall and the former Supreme Court Building make up the Gallery.

After that, take in the breathtaking vistas of Marina Bay at Merlion Park. Don’t pass up this chance to take photos of The Merlion, a fabled animal that is half fish and half lion.

Before you drive past Chinatown, stop by the Thian Hock Keng Temple, one of Singapore’s oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples.

Explore the National Orchid Garden, which features a vast exhibit of 60,000 orchid species, at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Singapore’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We’ll start by looking at the colonial architecture and historic structures, such as Capitol Singapore, a neoclassical landmark, Chijmes, a timeless icon that has gracefully transformed from a former school to a lifestyle complex, and St Andrew’s Cathedral, Singapore’s largest cathedral and the oldest Anglican house of worship. To try the famous Singapore Sling, head to the Raffles Hotel’s Long Bar. Savour a regional meal while exploring the neighbourhood.

Since the early years when Chinese immigrants settled in this community, Chinatown has also undergone significant change. Chinatown is not to be missed, especially in the evening when everything truly comes to life. It is teeming with a wide variety of stores and restaurants, bursting with vibrant and interesting activities set against a backdrop of rich history and legacy. Explore the Night Market’s winding alleys and try your hand at haggling with street sellers offering everything from leather products to souvenirs.

Following dinner at a neighbourhood Chinese restaurant, we’ll go to Clarke Quay and board a bumboat or take a cruise down the Singapore River to witness Singapore illuminated at night, which includes colonial buildings, the iconic Merlion statue, the Marina Bay Sands light show and water display, and beautifully restored shophouses and modern skyscrapers of the financial district.

After that, a coach will take you through the lively streets of Little India, beginning with a quick overview of its past at Sri Veerakaliamman Temple. The first locally owned vegetarian restaurant, Komala Villas, is located directly across the street. You can walk to Upper Dickinson Road to learn about Indian murals and watch locals create wrist and jasmine garlands at Campbell Lane. You can also stop by Selvi’s to see traditional Mehndi Henna tattoos for men and women. Finally, you can enjoy a delicious dessert at Little India, which is the night’s high point.
